My sister and I went out to dinner tonight. And because she's such a grown up, she capped off her meal with a cup of coffee. My mom and dad would be so proud.
It's a new day for this country. I can't wait for the next four years. Our friend Doris has been so passionate about Obama from the beginning. She's displayed her sign through theft, rain, and snow. Today, it displayed balloons. Rock on Obama.
It's Election Day! It's been four horrendous years of economic and government downfall. I thought this sunset was a really good omen. Only good things lie on the horizon for us all. But really, how could it get any worse?
October 2008 was a fantastic month. The Phillies played their first playoff game on October 1st and had a parade on the 31st. It was one to be remembered. Another picture from the parade. I love Shane!
Ladies and Gentlemen, the 2008 World Fucking Champions. Today was unreal. Parade and rally. Never thought I'd see the day. Screw Halloween. Today was all about the Phillies!
Another scene from last night. Waving the flag during the victory lap while the entire stadium sang "We are the Champions". That is what it's all about being a fan.
It happened. The 28 year drought is over. This is what I've been waiting for my whole life, literally. The moment when the Phillies were number one, in the world. And I was lucky enough to be there to witness history. It was the most amazing game/day of my life. Nothing may ever compare.
The celebrations of my birthday went well into the AM, so technically it was Sunday. My excellent bowling skills are only amplified by drinking, hence gutterball after gutterball. At least I looked like I knew what I was doing
Even my cake was repping the P. I'm not so sure about this age thing. I really won't feel any different today than yesterday, but supposedly I'm a year older. Hmph. Anyway, Happy Birthday to me!
Today deserves no picture. There's nothing worth remembering about this day. An entire day spent in the ICU surrounded by family and tears is not worth a picture.
Today was fantastic for two reasons. I got to see game one of the NLCS and watch the Phils win. And I got to see my favorite rapper, Rapping RH outside by the lot. Gotta love it
